
Q. Can we bring our pet?
A. Yes, your dog or cat is welcome but please bring your own “Critter Towels” to help keep animal mess to a minimum.
Q. Can we smoke in the cottage?
A. No, smoking outside is fine however it is imperative that you butt your habit carefully in that fire can spread underground causing a fire to erupt some distance from the original site.
Q. Will linens/ towels be provided?
A. Yes, however the towels supplied are for in cottage use only and would ask you to bring your own beach towels.
Q. Will we need to bring dishes and cutlery?
A. No we provide everything you need in the kitchen except consumables. You will find basic cooking supplies on your arrival, we would ask you to replace what you use upon your departure.
Q. Is the water safe to drink?
A. Whitefish Lake has very good water, we do however filter the water to remove any solids and to improve the taste. We also provide a water cooler for your convenience.
Q. Is the lake nice to swim in?
A. Yes the lake is both fresh and clean with no Zebra mussel contamination.
Q. Is there a shallow area for young children?
A. Yes this site has a shallow, sandy area at the permanent dock perfectly suited for small children.
Q. Is there good fishing on the lake?
A. Yes, Lake Trout as well as Large and Small Mouth Bass are in the lake.
Q. Should we bring our food with us or shop up there?
A. We have 3 supermarkets in Parry Sound, Sobey’s is open 24 hrs. in the Summer months, there is a General Store in Rosseau and a Variety store 10 minutes from the cottage.
Q. Are there places to go out to eat?
A. Yes there a number of good restaurants in Parry Sound, fine dining can found at The Log Cabin (Burtons) on the old Hwy #69, pizza can be found at The Heron on Horseshoe and there is Crossroads in Rosseau for city fare.
